L'abstract art is an art that tries to give a contraction of reality or to underline its "tears" instead of trying to represent "the visible appearances of the external world".

Abstract art can do without a model and is free from fidelity to visual reality.

He does not represent subjects or objects from the natural world, real or imaginary, but only forms and colours for their own sake.

Abstract art is any art that contains no reminder, no evocation of the observed reality, whether or not this reality is the artist's starting point.

Abstract art uses a formal, pictorial and linear language to create a composition independent of the relationship to existing visual references in the sensible world. It is underpinned by the logic of perspective and an attempt to reproduce the illusion of visible reality. The discovery of and increasing access to the arts and the opening of the world to different cultures have instilled other models of description and allowed the artist a visual experience free from the constraints of representation.

Abstraction indicates a starting point, a new representation of reality and imagery in art. The gap between art and reality, a classic theme of artistic representation, has passed through the mirror of visual accuracy. Abstraction is part of this continuity, this constant search for an accurate representation of reality.

The idea of the sublimation of reality disappears in favour of an abstraction external to its tangible representation, art no longer aims at the greatest verisimilitude, the most exact realism, because it can be supplanted, summarized, at least theoretically by the new forms of automated representation, since a perfect representation is likely to be extremely difficult to achieve. Artistic work takes liberties, for example by modifying colour and form in a way that is visible and contained in a concise essence that can be called "abstract". The result no longer contains the traces of abstraction, references and recognizability disappear in favour of visible effects, geometric forms, clean or abundant lines, single or mixed colours. Thus, geometric abstraction does not preserve any of the natural and realistic references of the entities presented.

It seems more appropriate to us to consider and question the sensations of light, of different character and value, insofar as they arouse in us states of mind.

In fact, there has never been a pure art of colour dealing only with colour alone and relying only on all the subtle and wonderful changes and combinations of which colour is capable as a means of its own expression.

Abstract art will therefore be inspired by his visual and emotional sensations, to give a more powerful inner vision.

It is up to you to give meaning and emotional definition to the painted and sculpted optical lines and to bring them to life through your own eyes as an admirer.
