In the blue of the sky and the St. Lawrence River, where shades dance and blend like the waves of the ocean, a creation has taken shape. It was born from the silent impulse of my soul, inspired by the beauty of the world, by the light of centuries past, and by that invisible thread that links emotion to matter.
In my studio, I paint and sculpt directly on canvas, in three dimensions, driven by a deep desire to evoke emotion through the illusion of movement, the vibration of color, and the transformation of perception. Each artwork becomes a lived experience—a waking dream.
An Angelic Madonna, a Kinetic Tribute to the Renaissance
I created this Madonna as an offering to the Renaissance—to its boldness, its genius, and its timeless breath. She honors the many talents of that blessed era, when art, science, thought, and poetry came together to imagine a world that was greater, more beautiful, more free.
She is soft, almost fragile, but within that fragility lies immense power. She embodies wisdom, sacred femininity, and the quiet strength of those who carry the world’s light.
An Optical Work in Motion — A Revealed Duality
Depending on the viewer’s position, her hair subtly changes color. From the left, it is adorned with blue, violet, pink, and turquoise, in a calming, almost celestial harmony. From the right, it becomes gold, yellow, carmine, red, and emerald green—a fire of emotions, vibrant and alive.
This chromatic duality, this passage from cool to warm tones, from softness to brilliance, expresses the complexity of the human being. It symbolizes the coexistence of opposites: light and shadow, introspection and action, grace and strength.
As one moves around the piece, new details appear. Reflections shimmer, forms evolve. The artwork becomes an intimate dialogue with the viewer—a living, breathing creation.
The Language of Color — A Vibration of Emotion
Each hue I chose tells a story—an emotion, a memory, an idea:
-
Black is the origin of mystery, the matrix, inner strength.
-
Gold embodies the sacred, divine light, and the majesty of the soul.
-
Silver evokes intuition, subtle brilliance, and the mirror of the heart.
-
Metallic blue reflects lucid awareness and celestial calm.
-
Azure blue represents infinity, lightness, and open-mindedness.
-
Violet speaks of inner wisdom and deep spirituality.
-
Purple vibrates with ancient power and noble memory.
-
Powder pink conveys tenderness, innocence, and compassion.
-
Lavender soothes, connects, and wraps the soul in a whisper.
-
Turquoise symbolizes freedom, emotional balance, and heart-centered clarity.
-
Carmine is passion, vital fire, the breath of life.
-
Emerald green reflects living nature, hope, and regeneration.
Silver glitter crosses the surface of the canvas like star dust, catching the light in every moment. And my silver signature, placed with intention, is not simply a name: it is a mark of the soul, a link between the artwork, the artist, and the person who chooses to welcome it into their life. It is the echo of my gratitude, a silent promise.
Why the Renaissance?
Because the Renaissance was the cradle of bold dreams, of progress, of a sacred love for beauty and truth. In that time, art was a divine breath, a quest for light. Botticelli, in particular, inspires me deeply.
His Madonnas are not just religious icons; they are women of light, powerful and vulnerable at once. Their gaze is a passage—a silent invitation to introspection. Botticelli painted not only the body, but the soul. Every line, every curve, every shadow vibrates with humanity.
He gives form to the invisible. He makes tangible what we feel but cannot name. To paint in his spirit is to converse with eternity, to enter a greater story, to offer an emotion that transcends time.
A Work to Feel, A Work to Dream
This Madonna—like an angel—is not just an image. She is a presence. She invites us to slow down, to feel, to remember that beauty can heal, connect, and elevate.
She is an emotional mirror, an inner landscape that transforms with every gaze. She never reveals herself all at once—she must be earned, discovered, like a secret shared only through the heart.
