In the azure light of the infinite sky, where shades dance and merge like ocean waves, a creation is born. It emerged from that suspended moment between silence and breath, where my soul meets the beauty of the world. I paint and sculpt on canvas, creating three-dimensional works where the illusion of movement, the vibration of color, and the transformation of perception come together in a living, immersive experience.
Today, I present to you my Madonna of the Magnificat, a contemporary and kinetic tribute to Botticelli, the timeless master of grace and inner light.
A Madonna in motion, between shadow and light
In this piece, I wanted to explore the sacred power of the feminine, the strength of intuition, and the sovereign softness that Botticelli portrayed with such purity. I painted and sculpted a living Madonna, both optical and kinetic, who reveals herself differently depending on your position. From the left, her hair reflects metallic blue-gray tones, serene and profound. From the right, it shimmers with radiant gold, luminous and mystical.
She is never the same. She evolves with you, like a breathing presence. This artwork is a moving presence, a silent dialogue between you and her. As you approach, you uncover hidden details, shifting lights, new emotional layers. Nothing is static. Everything invites wonder.
The colors: a language of the soul
I chose a restrained yet powerful palette, where every color tells a story:
-
Black, deep and infinite, represents mystery, introspection, and the silent origin of all creation.
-
Gold embodies divine light, spiritual nobility, and eternal wisdom—the breath of the sacred.
-
Silver, subtle and pure, reflects clarity of the soul, silent intuition, and inner resonance.
-
Metallic blue offers peace, protection, and a connection to the heavens—a color that comforts and uplifts.
-
Violet is the hue of transformation, expanded consciousness, and mystery.
-
Purple vibrates with ancestral strength, power, and deep emotional truth.
Silver glitter flows across the surface, catching the light like stardust, paying homage to the miracle of the moment. My silver signature, placed as a sacred gesture, is not just a name. It is a seal of truth, a luminous mark of soul, a bridge between my world and yours.
Why Botticelli? Why the Magnificat?
Because the Magnificat is a hymn of the soul lifted toward the divine. It is a celebration of light, of creation, and of the feminine mystery that brings life into the world. In The Madonna of the Magnificat, Botticelli painted the radiant soul of the feminine, surrounded by angels, crowned in light, and filled with grace. Her gesture is soft yet powerful; her gaze is celestial yet grounded in humanity.
Botticelli deeply inspires me, because he captured the essence of things beyond appearances. He painted not just what the eye sees, but what the heart feels. His Madonnas are not frozen icons—they are embodied prayers, dreams made flesh.
In creating this piece, I sought to continue his gesture, but with my hands, my era, my vision. I sculpted a Madonna who moves, who speaks without words, who transcends time and touches the soul.
A work to live. A work that speaks to you.
This Madonna is a living experience. She is not meant to be simply observed, but felt. As you shift your viewpoint, you enter her world, passing through light, emotion, and evolving perception. It is an inner journey, a waking dream that takes shape before your eyes.
